The courses count towards high school graduation requirements and towards earning a college degree. The students continue to have full access to activities at their high school. The college credits are offered at a deeply discounted rate. The state offers a small grant to assist students in costs for tuition, fees and books.
Graduation requirements[ edit ] The Newport School Board requires that each candidate for graduation earn twenty-four 24 credits. Schools are mandated to provide targeted assistance to help the student be successful. Those who do not pass after several attempts can perform a project in order to graduate.
For the class ofpassing a civics and government exam will be added to the graduation requirements.
The statewide results were: Students, who achieve a 3 or better on the exam, may be awarded college credits at US universities and colleges. Each higher education institution sets its own standards about what level of credits are awarded to a student based on their AP exam score.

Call to book. Youth Drop In Saturday The main youth session of the week is open to all youth riders who have progressed beyond beginner level. Coached by a qualified coach and volunteer Club coaches, this session combines skills development and fitness improvement within a fun but structured environment.
Different ability groups cater for all levels of riders. Riders must have attended a beginners' course ahead of attending this session. Experience needed but this session is designed to accommodate a wide range of abilities. An experienced coach will ensure you get the best out of your session, whether you're after a good workout or are just looking for a steady ride around the track!
Improvers can benefit from the group activity and improve their fitness and skills in readiness for accreditation. Easy Rider Experience needed but this session is designed to accommodate a wide range of abilities.
Endurance Lunchtime Drop-In A coached session for all standards of riders. Session content varies depending on the season and is tailored around the requirements of the riders attending each week.
