Absorbance scaling factor is dependent on the concentration and the thickness of the LDS layer which has been assumed to be the same for the QD-LDS layer. We were previously shown [ 13 ] that this decrease arising due to optical losses because of the specific DSSC geometry in which the 3 mm thick cover glass significantly decreases the fraction of the emitted photons transmitted to the photoactive layer in the DSSC.
